Description

A French press built for actual outdoor use — no glass to break, no plastic to absorb flavor over time. The body is double-walled brushed 18/8 stainless steel for thermal retention (your second cup is still hot 45 minutes later). The handle is a hardwood grip secured by brass screws; the plunger knob is solid brass with a satin finish.

Around the base of the body, the Field & Cairn cairn maker’s seal is laser-etched into the stainless and gold-fill polished — visible at any angle. The press fits 12oz of brewed coffee (roughly two large mugs or four small camp cups).

Specs: 12 fl oz capacity, double-wall 18/8 stainless body, hardwood grip handle with brass screws, brass plunger knob, fine stainless mesh filter, etched maker’s seal. Made in Pennsylvania; assembled in Colorado.

Care: Hand-wash with hot water and dish soap; the mesh filter unscrews for thorough cleaning. Don’t put in a dishwasher — the heat will discolor the brass and dry the wood handle. The wood can be conditioned with butcher-block oil once a year.
