Description
A folding pocket utility knife designed for everyday tasks — opening packages, trimming rope, slicing an apple at a desk — not for outdoor survival or kitchen prep. The handle is American walnut with brass bolsters at both ends; the blade is brushed stainless steel, 2.75″ length, with a slip-joint mechanism (no thumb stud, no locking liner).
Inset into the center of the handle is a small solid brass medallion bearing the Field & Cairn cairn maker’s seal, gold-fill polished. The walnut develops a darker patina with the oils of regular handling.
Specs: Overall closed length 3.5″, blade 2.75″ brushed 8Cr14MoV stainless, walnut handle with brass bolsters, brass medallion inset. Slip-joint, non-locking. Made in Pennsylvania.
Care: Wipe blade dry after every use, particularly after cutting acidic foods. Light machine oil on the pivot once a year. The walnut handle can be conditioned with butcher-block oil if it dries out over years. This is not a self-defense knife or a tactical blade.
